Best Birthday Ever.....
Body Modification....

I took out 9 of my piercings. Does this mean I've grown up? Suddenly had a bout of conservatism? Maybe I was just ready for a change? I'm still a huge fan of body modification (although I really am conservative when it comes to modification!!) but the piercings aren't for me - at least for right now.
Sir & I got tattoos for Christmas.... and they are visible!!

I've always been intrigued by body modification as a form of self expression and the social stigma that it carries. People use body modification like fashion - to stand out, to fit in, to express. Yet we are often judged by our form of expression as an indicator our ability to perform in society as a citizen or professional. I admire organizations (and individuals) that have moved beyond judging individuals based on (not only) race, sex, weight (but also) self expression and self identity.
I often let my anger and frustration at society show by acting out and shouting from the rooftops that I'm KINKY! that I'm in a BDSM relationship, that I'm a bi-poly,switch...but i hesitate to get a visible tattoo for fear others might prematurely label me?
